Pyrate Invasion

Beaufort, NC

On this trip we took our grandson, Dillon McDade to Beaufort, NC. We enjoyed the Pyrate

Invasion and had an enjoyable visit with my cousin Nancy Lou Stephenson and her husband

Pat. We also took the ferry from Harkers Island to Cape Lookout and visited the lighthouse.

Old Cedar Grove Photographs

Milton McDade would today be considered a photojournalist, he and his brother Sam owned 16mm video

cameras and used some of the early SLR 35mm film cameras in the 1930s . Milton enjoyed history and took

many pictures during this time. I was fortunate to be given many of his 35mm slides which I have converted

to digital. Many of these images in this webpage came from Milton's collection, some are images of old pictures

that Milton photographed. I have done my best to document these images correctly but there maybe errors

due to the years that have passed and there is no one living that can identify some of these individuals.
